Ruleguard Update 4.95.0

Written by Shaun Jeavons | Jan 16, 2026 5:41:29 PM

We're pleased to announce that Ruleguard version 4.95.0 is now live!

This update contains the following changes:

Issues & Staged Workflows / Supplier Oversight

  • Added the ability for Ruleguard to configure for an account 'scheduled' Automations that can launch e.g. Forms mid-flow' at a User-defined start date, that will persist thereafter on a schedule so that regular activities (e.g. annual Due Diligence Forms) may be automated within a standardised flow.
    • Introduced support for multi-year Automation frequencies (e.g. every 2–5 years), making it easier to plan long-term compliance tasks and manage less frequent renewals, such as Supplier Oversight Forms for lower-risk suppliers.
    • Added an option to prefill fields from the most recent Form, reducing the need for re-keying. This is configurable on a per-field basis.
    • User can elect to set the default name format for each subsequent launch (similar to autonaming configuration for Staged Workflows available elsewhere).
  • Added the ability to define a default Tab per Stage, which is automatically loaded on transition. This improves control over information capture and enhances the overall user experience.
  • Improved the configuration of the Launch Stage Workflow Action by introducing automatic field-matching for target fields. This significantly speeds up configuration where many fields are shared.

MIv2

  • Introduced two new columns, Root and Parent, for Event Designs. These attributes improve filtering and reporting on the structure of Tasks and Workflows.

Accountability

  • Added three new Tokens to Senior Management documents generated via the Generate Document Workflow Action to better support documentation such as handover materials.

These tokens display for that individual across all Firms:

    • Senior Manager accountability roles (e.g. SMF or PFC designations)
    • Responsibilities
    • Certified Functions

General

  • Added a new Tab named 'Linked' to Processes, Risks and Controls that will list linked Staged Workflows (listed by Type e.g. Gifts & Entertainment Requests) where that entity e.g. Control exists.
  • Improved performance of the breadcrumb navigation within Regulatory Updates when viewing Requirements (rules), reducing load times and improving stability for complex rule hierarchies.
  • Strengthened backend API access control checks, improving data security across the platform.
  • File upload security has been strengthened across the system, reducing the possibility that inappropriate file types can be uploaded.
  • Resolved an issue where a tooltip dialog obstructed the ‘Archive User’ action when configuring a Multiple Selection (Users) field.
  • Resolved an issue where Backup could not correctly open Attestations from the Notification Bell.
  • Resolved an issue where users with View Event permissions were unable to reject two-step Attestations during the approval stage.
  • Fixed an issue where the Stage Field ‘mandatory’ setting was ignored for Multiple Selection (Users) fields.
  • Removed a system attribute that previously appeared unnecessarily in certain Management Information reports for Topics, resulting in cleaner and more relevant reporting.
  • Resolved an issue where some account configurations displayed a “?” symbol instead of “£” within certain compliance documents.
