Ruleguard Update 4.103.0

Written by Shaun Jeavons | May 15, 2026 7:08:56 PM

We're pleased to announce that Ruleguard version 4.103.0 is now live!

This update contains the following changes:

Supplier Oversight

Customisable transition emails.

  • When a Stage Transition includes a "Send email" action, you can now set a custom subject and body on the Stage Transition itself. Tokens are supported for [Name], [TransitionComment], [FromStageName] and [ToStageName], so external recipients may now receive custom messages instead of the Ruleguard templated design.
    • Where a custom template is configured, the existing "Include transition comment" flag on the Send Email action is suppressed to avoid duplication.

Tiered Selection fields available in inline calculation expressions.

  • Calculated Fields can now reference Tiered Selection fields in the inline expression builder, matching the behaviour already available for other selection field types.

Incident & Breach Management

Issues tab on Task Design Cards.

  • Each Task Design now exposes a matrix of every Issue raised during attestation against that Task, with Task Event, due / completion dates, completed-by User, Issue ID, name, raiser, created date, Stage and Status. Includes date and name filters, along with click-through access to the underlying cards where the user has permission.

Issues tab on Task List Design Cards.

  • The same matrix is available one level up on Task List Design Cards, aggregating across every Task (to leaf level) in the list. Additional columns surface the Parent Task ID and Name so investigators can pinpoint where an Issue surfaced inside a nested checklist.

Regulatory Change Management

Report on Tasks mapped to Regulatory Change Updates.

  • MI reporting can now surface outstanding Tasks tied to a Regulatory Change Update at a specific stage, for example tasks launched at the "compliance review and mapping" stage. Helps compliance teams track allocation and follow-up against incoming regulatory change without leaving MI.

Client Assurance Portal

More consistent sharing data captured between tenants.

  • Where a Master tenant shares items with a Recipient, Ruleguard now consistently records the receiving tenant on the shared item, matching the behaviour already in place for Issue sharing. This allows recipient details such as names to be surfaced more clearly within MI, replacing the previous ID-only behaviour. This enhances the Topic Sharing MI improvement introduced in 4.102.0.

General Updates

MIv2 - New "Yesterday (Business Days)" date range for Event reports.

  • Users with View / View & Edit Report permission can now filter Attestation Event reports to "Yesterday (Business Days)", which ignores weekends and any non-working days configured within your account.

Permission Scope update affecting Task attestation under Own Data Only.

  • This release contains one Permission Scope behaviour change.

    • Permission Area: Events.

    • Permission: View Event and View & Edit Event.

    • Permission Scope: Own Data Only.

    • Change: A User with View Event (or View & Edit Event) at the Own Data Only Scope can now see subtasks when attesting to a parent Task via the Inbox, where the parent Task List is configured with "Only when all sub-tasks are complete".

Parent Tasks remain outside the Own Data Only Scope. The same behaviour applies to external API Users.

Infrastructure Improvements

  • Background task handling under heavy Stage Transition load. Resolved an internal memory growth issue that could affect environments running large volumes of Stage Transitions on Issues with Calculated Custom Fields. No configuration change is required.

Fixes

  • Resolved an error that occurred when drilling into MI v2 charts using the "Event due date" attribute on Event data – control reports.

  • Resolved a Lookup grid that appeared empty when selecting existing Task Lists via a "Linked item > Task lists" Custom Field on Solution workflows. Newly created Task Lists were unaffected; existing ones can now be selected as expected.

  • Resolved a Stage Transition issue on DDQs where a Transition Action updated a Firm date Custom Field from a DDQ date Custom Field. The transition no longer fails with a date parsing error and the target Firm field is updated correctly.

  • Resolved an infinite loading state when opening legacy (MI v1) charts in Edit mode from a Compliance Monitoring dashboard or the MI Cards list. Newer MI v2 charts were unaffected.

  • Resolved an error when configuring a fast calculation against a Tier 1 Customer selection on a nested workflow, where the expression builder previously failed to expose the expected selection field options.
